Holding the Space for the
PRACTICE of GRATITUDE
Nathen’s Newsletter
September ’18
Warm greetings and blessings to you, dear Friend!
May you be filled with lovingkindness.
May you be safe and protected from all inner and outer dangers.
May you be well in body and mind.
May you be at ease and happy.
THIS MONTH’S TOPIC
(I have an invitation for you this month, dear Friend. Please read on to find out what it is.)
In my August newsletter, I shared a quote from Abraham Hicks. Here’s part of that quote again:
“The only thing that ever matters in success or achievement is your achieving the things that you want to achieve. So if you are setting standards and you’re feeling uncomfortable about the standards that you’ve set, tweak the standards back a little bit. Ratchet it back a notch. Give yourself a break. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Lighten up. Be easier. Go slower. Take it easy. Have more fun. Love yourself more. Laugh more. Appreciate more.
All is well. You can’t get it wrong. You never get it done.”
WELL! I took that message to heart, set off on my second trip this year to eastern Canada… and had some of the richest experiences I’ve EVER had! My visits with friends and family were celebrations of the PRESENT moment (not nostalgic reminisces of the past); I deepened some professional connections; and, as I sat on a bench in downtown Montreal one afternoon, I laughed out loud with joy as I felt the ENERGY of my hometown again – an energy that’s unlike any other city, and is a BIG part of who I am! YES, YAY and AMEN to EASE and GRACE and JOY!
AND – in characteristic Nathen fashion (!) – I now want to go DEEPER – to experience MORE.
Every day, I get wonderful messages of inspiration from many different sources. A friend on Facebook sent me this one:
Denzel Washington’s words at the beginning of the video feel particular powerful: “Say thank you in advance for what is already yours.”
I’ve been trying that on as often as possible in my day – incorporating it into my daily EFT (tapping) routine too – and I’m already beginning to feel more relaxed, more trusting, AND more peaceful, regardless of what’s going on around me. wooHOO!
I’m excited about continuing to explore this way of living!
So I now CHOOSE to Hold the Space for the PRACTICE of GRATITUDE.
SO – my invitation to YOU, dear << Test First Name >>, is this: Would you be willing to join me for the next 30 days in the Practice of Gratitude? To say thank you in advance for what is ALREADY yours? Please e-mail me here and let me know – and I also welcome you sharing your experience with me as the next 30 days unfold!
In honour of the PRACTICE of GRATITUDE, I offer you “live” versions of some my music; may they serve you well.
Do That Thing (a song of mine, from my CD “Little By Little”, that encourages us to get out of our heads and into our bodies);
More Than Enough (a song of mine, from my CD “Little By Little”, that gratefully celebrates the quintessential things in life);
I Say Yes (a song of mine, from my CD “YES”, that playfully reminds us of who we truly are and of what we’re truly capable).
(You can listen to my songs and chants here.)
(You can find the words to my songs and chants here.)
(You can buy my CDs here.)
I also offer you these inspirational quotes; may they also serve you well.
“When you are in sync with who-you-really-are, your emotions range from satisfaction to passion and enthusiasm for life. You feel clarity and certainty and interest in life. You feel fun. Your timing is good. You feel vitality. And then, what comes to you feels good to you – because Law of Attraction will not give you something that you have not PRACTICED [emphasis mine]”. – Abraham Hicks
“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder”. – Gilbert K Chesterton (with thanks to my dear friend Carla Rieger).
“Thank God for what you have, and you will always have everything you need.” – Alan Cohen
(And, I’m into my 5th month of my daily ritual of tapping [EFT] while stating powerful intentions. If you’re new to EFT, here is the best place to start.)
How about YOU, dear Friend? What’s most resonating in YOU this month?WHEREVER you are on your journey, I’d love to hear from you. Please e-mail me here; we’re all in this together, and we have much to learn from each other. (BIG THANKS to all of the kind souls who respond to my newsletters; reading your comments is always a highlight of my month.)
