(1) As you can see, I now have a green screen! I’m always wanting to improve the audio quality of my offerings, and I thought that it was time to improve the visual component of them as well. Please e-mail me and let me know what you think. (And next month, I promise do a better job of lighting the green screen and eliminating shadows!)
(2) My theme for 2022, harkening back to my Camino trek across Spain in 2019, is SIMPLICITY – and I find myself embodying that theme more and more deeply. A major part of that is starting my day with a VERY early morning run, and then being still after my cooldown and reciting some affirmations and prayers of appreciation. With my “gas tank” full, I’m then ready to move into my day with joy and peace!
(3) February 22nd was the 2nd year anniversary of the day that I met my beloved Kim. SO MUCH has happened to us and for us since then, and we both feel blessed beyond measure to be together.
(4) I’m enjoying creating and sharing my weekly “Morning Musings” on Wednesday mornings more than ever, as well as serving more and more churches/centres on Sunday (on the 27th, I’ll be performing at CSL Greater Boston for the first time!)… I’m also serving more and more retirement homes in the Greater Vancouver area, and it’s great fun to sing classic songs and to get everyone singing along with me… My book about my Camino experience is moving along, slowly but surely, and it’s a joy to be re-living my time in Spain as I write about it… And I continue to work towards my goal of being a voice over artist.

This month, being the “softie” that I am, I’ve been thinking a lot about, and writing chants about, love – and how now, more than ever, we ALL need to remember that we are here to love. (In particular, I’m thinking about COVID’s continuing impact on our lives, and about Russia’s invasion of Ukriane.) The chant that I want to share with you this month is called “I Am Here To Love”, and was inspired by a quote from Snatam Kaur, an American singer/songwriter devoted to the Sikh path. The quote is:
I did not know the feeling of my heart.
I did not feel my feet on the ground.
I did not know what you had said to me.
I was alone.
Lost,
in my own thoughts.
Afraid
and empty.
Until one day
I traded in a thought
for a breath
and then…
breath
by
breath
I came home,
to my own body,
and there you were
waiting for me.
Miraculously.
Beautiful Soul
Queen of my heart
I am home.
