What’s YOUR
word for 2019,
dear Friend?
Nathen’s Newsletter
December ’18
Warm greetings and blessings to you, dear Friend!
May you be filled with lovingkindness.
May you be safe and protected from all inner and outer dangers.
May you be well in body and mind.
May you be at ease and happy.
THIS MONTH’S TOPIC
On Monday, December 17th, my body said yes to a severe bout of the flu.
What a gift that bug has been!
It’s given me time to rest, move slowly, ponder the year that was and the year that is to come, and to choose a word for 2019 that will help shape the next 12 months of my experience.
As it turns out, I actually have THREE words for 2019:
GRATITUDE. Really embracing this word for the first time in my life – thanks in large part to this video featuring Denzel Washington, in which he states “Say thank you in advance for what is already yours” – has changed me from a “glass half empty” person to a “glass half full” person. (I encourage you to try it for yourself for 30 days; you’ll be amazed at what manifests in your life!)
FAITH: Saying thank you in advance for faith is increasing my ability to relax and surrender to the will of God / Perfect Love / All That Is, and REALLY know in my bones that all is indeed well – a true gift for a “recovering perfectionist” like me!
SIMPLICITY: In the last two weeks, I’ve had a lot of time to de-clutter and organize my physical and mental space – in my fear of missing out on something important, I was hanging on to all kinds of saved e-mails, scribbled notes etc. – and I’m revelling in the time and space that simplification has created. I’m now looking forward to a year of increased PLAY and creativity!
SO – I say YES to a year of GRATITUDE, FAITH, and SIMPLICITY!
In honour of GRATITUDE, FAITH and SIMPLICITY, I offer you some of my music; may it serve you well.
More Than Enough (a song from my CD “Little By Little”, that GRATEFULLY celebrates the small AND quintessential things in life);
The Faith Of God (a song from my CD “YES”, that celebrates living FAITH to the fullest degree);
Be Still (a song from my CD “Little By Little”, that celebrates inner stillness and SIMPLICITY).

I also offer you this article by Cathy Hutchison on living a minimalist lifestyle, and this inspirational quote; may they also serve you well.
“That’s been one of my mantras – focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.” – Steve Jobs
How about YOU, dear Friend? What’s most resonating in YOU this month? WHEREVER you are on your journey, I’d love to hear from you. Please e-mail me here; we’re all in this together, and we have much to learn from each other. (BIG THANKS to all of the kind souls who respond to my newsletters; reading your comments is always a highlight of my month.)
(P.S. Along with my renewed commitment to meditation, I’m into my 7th month of tapping daily [EFT] while stating powerful intentions. If you’re new to EFT, here is the best place to start.)

As a very dear and wise friend in Montreal once said to me, “All I can offer you is my experience”.
My sincere desire, in every one of my newsletters, is to encourage us all to live our Big Lives one Small Step at a time.
Much love to you, dear Friend. May you say YES to a year of GRATITUDE, FAITH, AND SIMPLICITY, or whatever word(s) most resonate(s) with you for 2019, and may you go with LOVE.
