Hi, dear Friend –
Warm greetings and blessings to you!
May you be filled with lovingkindness.
May you be safe and protected from all inner and outer dangers.
May you be well in body and mind.
May you be at ease and happy.

MONTHLY THOUGHT
How’s your work-life balance?
In my Keynote Concert presentation, “Small Steps Big Life”, I talk about 4 Small Steps that help us to live a Big Life. Being willing to PERSIST is the 3rd Small Step – AND, as I did last month (with Step #2, ASKING FOR HELP), I’m exploring BOTH sides of this Step.
I’m grateful, happy and excited about all that’s unfolding for me these days –
new adventures with new people in new places –
AND, as my body very CLEARLY let me know when I recently returned to Vancouver from Bali
(via some STRONG jet lag!),
we can’t effectively move forward in our endeavours without also having periods of REST.
A new friend of mine in Los Angeles recently told me that he’s become much more productive
by using a timer to alternate working for 20 minutes with reading a good book of fiction for 20 minutes.
Can it be that simple?
Let’s find out!
SO – with gratitude and curiosity… I say YES to BALANCE between persisting and resting – between work and play.
Jim Loehr wrote an excellent book about this. May it serve you well:

AND – in a spirit of light-heartedness – I offer you one of my favourite Christmas parodies. May it also serve you well!

How about YOU, dear Friend? What’s most resonating in YOU these days?
WHEREVER you are on your journey, I’d love to hear from you. Please e-mail me at nathenaswell@me.com; we’re all in this together, and we have much to learn from each other.
(BIG THANKS to all of the kind souls who respond to my newsletters; reading your comments is always a highlight of my month.)

– “SMALL STEPS BIG LIFE” PODCAST ON BLAB
THE ADVENTURE HAS BEGUN! I’ve now done EIGHT shows in this new format,
and I’m having a LOT of fun interviewing GREAT souls that are living BIG lives and having them share the Small Steps that they’ve taken to get there.
(You can view them here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoUkG1mTtiXTGe0Ccbv6054CkLJ09hvGY)
I’ll start up again in January; please visit my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SmallStepsBigLifeWithNathenAswell/timeline) for links to the Podcasts (I post them 24-48 hours before a show) and join us in the adventure!
Much love to you, dear Friend. May you allow BALANCE in your life between persisting and resting, and may you go with LOVE.
